Grade - July 10/00 @ the reverb This was another day where I selected the one band I wanted to see and then left early (bad girl you say...I know I know). Well this was the second time I have seen Grade and they rocked yet again. Kyle has such emotion. The song Conceptualzing Theories in Motion was performed amazingly as always. Reach the Sky - with drowningman, good clean fun, & two finger point @ the reverb July 15/00 This concert was announced quite suddenly, but we went anyway. As always, our hunger caused us to miss most of the opening band's set. Two-finger point was quite good from what I remember. There are former band members of Endgame in this band. Drowningman was amazing. I just remember Simon saying that he was so happy to leave Canada because he was sick of milk in bags. I didn't get it right away..but then I remembered the U.S. only have cartons or jugs. It's really interesting to see all of the cultural differences between the U.S. and Canada. Drowningman's Simon sings his lyrics with that "in you face" irony and stinging harsh attitude. Good Clean Fun was pretty interesting. The microphone went to almost everyone's face. It was a little too positive for me. Also their musical skills weren't the best. Oh well, who am I to say that. What a contrast to Drowningman! It ended off with Reach the Sky, who were quite good.
