LESS THAN JAKE - with Subb!, Pollen, One Man Army,
& Suicide Machines September 1 @ the warehouse

SUBB!!

omg they totally rewled! we made our way up to the second row of ppl n had an awesome view n it was just so damn kool :) they opened with Tzedakah n it kicked so much ass! They had the crowd into it..saw some skanking going on n stuff, it was awesome :) their set was totally wicked n I was bouncing around for the whole thing..you just can't stand still listening to subb :) then the koolest thing ever...right before they played my favourite song..fast redemption of course..Martin said "this goes out to Lisa and Vicki" n then ripped into the song!! we were a couple of screaming lil girls when that happened hehe..it was so awesome :) They closed the set with L.A. Beach Bum n they played it so amazingly :) I wanted their set to just keep going n going cuz they're sooo awesome, but unfortunately..other bands wanted their set time too heh..ah well, it was awesome to seem em again, can't wait for the next show! :)

POLLEN

well..they were...alternative-y heh. they had a couple good songs, n maybe it's just cuz I've never heard of em n don't know their stuff...but the rest of their set just all sounded the same n got a lil dry heh. The crowd wasn't much into it either..I guess they were just all excited to see Less Than Jake n just wanted the opening bands to hurry up heh. However, when I talked to a friend of mine a few days later who I'd seen briefly at the show, said that pollen was awesome. so to each his own.

ONE MAN ARMY

krusty punk! good krusty punk tho :) I'd never heard any of their stuff before, but I came away a fan :) they got the crowd pumped finally n there were even one man army fans all up at the front which was nice to see. their set was pretty kool :)

SUICIDE MACHINES

awesome detroit style punk! their set was totally awesome! they covered the romantic's "what I like about you" which you could hear the whole crowd singing along to. some guy even got up on stage n mooned the whole audience hehe it was hillarious. it was pretty damn kool when they got a circle pit going for the song DDT which totally rawked :)

LESS THAN JAKE

they were totally awesome...had some weird skeletor guy on stage heh, which was pretty interesting to say the least..but then again, this is less than jake we're talking about, always expect the unexpected! at one point during their set, mr skeleton man dove into the audience from atop the huge speakers..it was pretty kool :) there were lotsa ppl running on stage n stage diving without big ol mean security guards shoving them off or anything, so that was nice to see, especially at a venue fairly sized like the warehouse :) there was lots of crowd interaction, they really did put on a wicked-kool show :)
